Arron Redford’s initial inspiration for deepening her yoga practice thru teaching was a 54-yr old woman who had become a quadrapelegic after a bicycle accident. This friend and mentor had previously been a model as well as a Ukranian folk dancer and despite her injury still continues to create beauty and bring light to all that surround her in a vibrant celebration of life.
Trained in the Ashtanga style of yoga; having studied the 8 limbs of yoga, Arron teaches in a Hatha Yoga style where individual poses are gently and carefully explored with an emphasis on breath and integrity. Arron recieved her 200hr Yoga Teaching certificate thru the Saltspring Centre of Yoga on Saltspring Island B.C. in the year of 2006. The centres Guru and inspiration is Baba Hari Das who currently resides at the Mount Madonna Centre in California.
Aspirants at any level are welcomed; classes will be structured with the overall class make-up in mind as well as with attention to individual needs. Arron believes that thru the unification (yoga) of the body and mind the student can improve their internal awareness and reduce the possibility of injury and stress while building strength and concentration.
